Du changement chez Gaastra???

A la lecture des forums anglophones (gaastra, starboard...), il semblerait que le célèbre Team et Gaastra soient en instance de divorce.

Je ne connais que les faits relatés dans le communiqué de presse....

The Team ne fait plus partie de Gaastra, donc pa extension, moi non plus (en tout cas je crois)

Dan Kaseler remplace Barry...

Ca m'étonnerait qu'un designer comme Barry avec toute l'équipe de R&D de THE TEAM reste sans rien faire très longtemps quand même. D'un autre côté, c'était le cas de Niels depuis 5 ans...

Donc The Team pourrait éventuellement être séparé de Gaastra ?
Barry : Bien sur, qui dit contrat dit possibilité de rupture de contrat.

Gaastra and The Team part ways ending a successful six-year partnership.

Gaastra International Group Ltd. recently merged with Knut Budig Sportif GMBH, its largest European distributor. In doing so Gaastra has gone through a major but necessary restructuring. The merger has enabled Gaastra a more complete business model owning the manufacturing right through to distribution. Bringing the marketing, sales, and product development in-house was a logical and necessary step. Knut Budig will take over as General Manager of the new Gaastra windsurfing and kite-boarding group.

Knut Budig explains “We are very excited about the new direction for Gaastra. Centralising our marketing and sales operations in Europe will give Gaastra a more streamlined operation in terms of cost, structure and logistics. Everyone at Gaastra would like to thank The Team for their dedication to the brand over the past six years. We wish The Team all the best with their future plans.

The Teams Phil McGain had this to say. “Gaastra has been an exciting and rewarding challenge. We produced several World Champions and delivered world-class products to the market for six years. We are very proud to have been a part of it. We would like to take this opportunity to thank John Wang and David Lo for a great collaboration.
We would also like to thank all the importers with whom we shared our common passion for this wonderful sport that we dedicate our lives to. See you on the water.”
