Le X7 étant sorti du catalogue, est-ce que l'un d'entre vous a déjà essayé le X6?

Je pense comme Bilou que le X6 520 doit bien valoir le X7... qui est vraiment parfait sur la 9.4 V8!
D'ailleurs, au cas où tu aurais prévu des vacances en Bretagne, je vends un X7 520 2004 comme neuf (9 sorties)! :wink:

Ton shop est en toute logique sur Lorient!!! Est-ce qu'il fait partie d'un réseau (je crois qu'il y a MAGIC SURF )? Chez QUAI34 (seul shop de ROUEN), on m'a dit qu'il n'y a plus aucun X7 520 dans le réseau Q34. Il est peut-être mal renseigné.

A tout hasard, ton shop le vend à combien le X7 520?

Ted, the X6 mast will make most any older generation wave sails perform better, simply because the mast performs better than the masts the 2002/2003 sails were designed for. The X6's progressive flex will make older sails fuller and more stable in the bottom, with a progressively twisted leech, for improved control.

Arrie, I think you would prefer the X6 for the 2004 Saber for the same reasons. Although the X7 is lighter and behaves stiffer, for a powerful sail, it is not as forgiving and controllable as the X6 on the Saber.

Of course, the X9 would be even better than the X6 on the Saber, because it's lighter and more responsive. If you can afford that luxury, go for it! You won't be disappointed. If you can get a deal on a 2004 X9, jump on it, because the 2004 and 2005 X9 will perform identically on the water.

X6 and X7 masts are not the same. The X6 is a tapered diameter mast, which flexes more progressively towards the tip for an overall softer flex. The X7 uses different technology and different diameter for a stiffer performing mast.

Yes, you can use an X6 on 2004 sails - with great results. I prefer the constant flex of the X6 on every sail I've tried, 2004 or 2005. I find the mast responsive and more forgiving. Better durability than an X7 because of the thicker wall diameter of the tapered mast technology.

The X7 is a great mast. But, honestly, the X6 is better in my opinion, and I'd receommend it for most any model of NP sail (except RS).

d apres Kevin Ozee, si on est pas coureur, on a pas vraiment de raison d acheter le X9.. en general, le planchiste "normal" recherche un bon compromis performance solidité... en revanche le coureur recherche la performance ..

donc pour le planchiste "normal", il recommande le X6..

Anyone considering buying an NP mast always has the option of buying a more durable mast than a racing mast. No one needs to buy into a racing mast unless they want to. Anyone who doesn't race shouldn't buy a race mast, in my opinion, for the very reasons we're on this topic: race masts are fragile. Know the risks and know how to minimize them, or buy something more durable, like an X6. NP customers always have that choice.
