don't forget www. mastersofspeed.com for the best chance at really breaking the record. just winding up some tuning with eric beale, some wing things, and getting sails together for a couple of the other guys who will be there. i know i said some time ago, when we didn't get invited to the party, that we had other things that were more important.
the kids sails are done, the kids rig is together, the freetime is getting into the places it needs to to help the sport grow.
so i have had a couple of midnight oil sessions and feel the need again. fun to remember weymouth and all of it.
yesterday eric did 36+ in terrible rough conditions. funny how hard that was to achieve in 1986 even. now a gps says it's so with stock sails and a nice small board for training in nasty chop.
can't wait to see what will happen in the trench with a crew of dedicated speedsters
the fun of records is the cameraderie not normally associated with racing. when the record does fall, the other guys who are trying to get it will still salute the guy who does.
